Last week, ANAM students got the opportunity to participate in a project that saw members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra join the Academy Orchestra for a week of ideas swapping, music making and viola jokes (the viola’s weren’t too happy about this one).  Both the Academy and the MSO  believe that this type of one on one interaction between professional musicians and students is not only valuable to our students but to the future of music making in Australia.

The program included Weber’s Der Freischütz Overture, Schubet’s Rosamunde and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4.
