Kim Worley cello

How long have you been a student at ANAM?
One year, this is my first year

What have you chosen to perform for your recital?
Some solo Bach, a piece by Vasks and the Brahms F Major cello sonata.

How long have you been preparing?
Most of the year but in earnest for the last two or three months.

What are you most looking forward to in your recital?
I’m looking forward to presenting some great music to friends and family. And hopefully having fun.

What’s the hardest thing about presenting a solo recital?
I suppose it’s the added pressure of it all being on your own shoulders, having to organise it and being the main focal point of attention – which is also the good thing about it.

What’s your post concert ritual?
It depends how the concert’s gone! Usually some kind of wind down – maybe a drink with friends.

Finally, Favourite ice-cream?
A good mango sorbet.
